Connecting to a Care Home
Once you are set up with HxCare and have completed your onboarding, your pharmacy will be available to care homes to link to.
The link between a care home and a pharmacy is initiated by the care home. When a care home requests to link to your pharmacy, you will see that link request in your view of HxCare when you log in. It's a simple action to accept the link request.
Once you have accepted the request and are linked to care home, and the service users at that care home who are nominated to your pharmacy are set up, you will be able to see the relevant information in the HxCare Pharmacy Portal so you can make sure that the medication that the service user receives is correct as per the prescriptions you receive from the GP.
You will only be able to see the service users at each of the care homes you are connected to, that are nominated to your pharmacy.
If you are using Analyst PMR by Positive Solution Ltd, then there is a direct integration from the PMR to HxCare and any prescriptions you dispense for the care home will be updated in HxCare ready for the care home to book in the stock and administer the medication to their service users.
