Service User MAR Charts

The MAR chart is central to HxCare and contains all the information you would traditionally be writing on paper, plus a lot more.

In HxCare the MAR chart view is used more for reference and either an historical or forward look at what been, or will be, administered. The day to day rounds and administration of medication is driven through the daily schedule view that you be using on a tablet device around the care home setting.

Each cell on the chart can be clicked on to view the administration details.

The MAR chart in HxCare is split into several sections to make it easier to view more specific types of medication. You can click between the tabs and navigate forward or backwards in time for each view. The sections are:

MAR

This will be all the normal round based medication that your service user receives. The medication is displayed in the rounds that it should be given, colour coded in the same way the rounds are.

PRN

This will show any PRN medication that service user is taking.

TS

This is where your Time Scheduled medication is shown. As a lot of this type of administration is not set to be specifically in a round, separating it out makes it clearer and easier to review.

Topical MAR

This is where all your round based Topical medication will be displayed. Topical medication administration is displayed in a slightly different way to round based medication, which is why it's clearer if it's split out like this.

Topical PRN

This is where all your Topical PRN medication will be shown.

Topical TS

This is where all your Topical Time Scheduled medication will be shown.
