PRN Medication

Minimum & Maximum Dose (excluding Topical & Insulin)

When adding a PRN (when required) medication, you will need to add a Minimum Dose and a Maximum Dose that could be administered.

Maximum Daily Dose (excluding Topical & Insulin)

When adding a PRN (when required) medication, you have the option to add a Maximum Daily Dose. By adding this, the system can monitor the total daily amount that has been administered to the service user. If the Maximum Daily Dose has been reached, and an attempt is made to administer a further dose, the system will present a warning to notify the user. You will be able to continue with the administration, but you will be required to add a witness when the administration takes place.
